Over the past week or so, we have been getting loads of e-mails, tweets, Facebook messages, etc, asking us when we’ll be sending out the beta invites.
First let me say, we are extremely happy with the building excitement around Budgetable –it is truly inspiring. Thank You.
Our general approach in developing and launching Budgetable is centered around the impression that it’s going to become insanely popular once the beta is released. This is the result of all the feedback we’ve received. With that said, our goal is to have a relatively short period between the beta release and the public release. We don’t want this thing to sit in beta for a year like some apps.
One of the major challenges of building this product has been keeping with our goal of making it easy enough for anyone to setup a budget and track wasteful spending, yet powerful enough to be extremely useful for even the most savvy finance gurus.
I believe we have succeeded.
When the beta launches, as with any beta software, it will not be perfect. Nonetheless, I think you’ll all be happily surprised at how mature Budgetable is. I have been building apps for a long time and I’ve never been more sure about the stability, usefulness, and general awesomeness of a product as I am about Budgetable.
We are very close, my friends. I promise you it will be worth the wait –really.

Thanks for the update!
I’m pretty stoked. You guys should tour the country once it’s released.
We’d need a band to tour with us. wink wink
Thanks for giving us a little insight into what is going on. Looking forward to getting my beta!
So do you guys have a launch date yet?
Hey Kathy – We have a general timeframe in mind.. We are going to wait awhile to announce it though — this is mainly for business reasons
Hope this helps.
Sounds like you need a project manager to hound you every day about the release. I’ll just schedule this daily tweet:
@Budgetable Just ship already!
kidding
haha, as a developer I’m suppose to pretend I hate project managers, right?
